Ampol Sea Lake
Built for Community and Convenience
TASCO Petroleum has proudly launched its first Big Bite food brand store in Sea Lake, marking an exciting milestone for the network.
Located in the Mallee district of north-west Victoria, Sea Lake sits on the southern shores of Lake Tyrrell. The town lies along the Calder Highway, 351 km north-west of Melbourne and 73 km west of Swan Hill.
The Sea Lake store has undergone a significant refurbishment, delivering a new level of service and convenience for both locals and travellers. With food volumes steadily increasing, these upgrades were essential to support continued growth and meet rising customer demand.
At the heart of the transformation is a fully equipped kitchen, enabling a broader and more efficient food offering. The renovation includes:
- Modernised facilities throughout.
- New hot and cold display units.
- Upgraded counter works.
- Additional shelving to enhance the food and convenience range.
- A new barista coffee offer, proudly serving The Common Good coffee.
Network Strategy
Peter Jessup, TASCO Retail Manager, highlighted that the Sea Lake upgrades form part of a broader strategy to raise the standard of roadside service across the region.
“We recognise that today’s customers are looking for more than just fuel. They want quality food, fresh coffee, and a welcoming environment where they can take a break and recharge. Our investment at Sea Lake reflects our commitment to delivering exactly that.”
The TASCO Family & New Sunrise Support
New Sunrise has proudly been part of the TASCO family for over 16 years, supporting all TASCO sites as their trusted buying group partner.
As TASCO continues to revitalise and strengthen its network, New Sunrise remains instrumental in delivering value through:
- Designing optimal store layouts that enhance shopper experience and drive sales.
- Supporting hardware requirements to improve operational efficiency.
- Delivering strategic planograms that strengthen product placement and merchandising.
- Providing ongoing business support and insights to help TASCO sites maximise profitability and operational performance.
What’s Driving Growth?
Over the last six months following store renovations and the introduction of The Common Good coffee barista offer, hot drinks sales have increased by an impressive 280%.
The new hot food display is fully stocked with the Jill & Jack’s Daily range of pies and sausage rolls, offering customers a variety of flavours and options.
Additionally, targeted deals on high-performing products (Leaders Promotions) and strategic campaigns across core categories (Majors Promotions) work together to drive repeat purchases, increase basket size, encourage impulse buys, and boost overall customer engagement.
These initiatives, combined with the store upgrades and product offerings, have contributed to stronger customer experiences and overall sales growth at Ampol Sea Lake.
Our Staff and Community
The success of the Sea Lake store is driven by the dedication of its team, led by Tracey Hage (Store Manager) and Ronan Ban (Retail Area Manager). They have fully embraced the Passport to Profit programs, Big Bite food offers, and the operational improvements introduced during the renovation.
Despite serving a small community, the Sea Lake team makes a significant impact. Their commitment to outstanding customer service continues to strengthen local relationships and encourage repeat patronage.
On behalf of the team at New Sunrise, we wish the Sea Lake team continued success and growth, and we look forward to supporting them in achieving even greater milestones in the future.
